WIA Youth Program

The WIA (Workforce Investment Act) Youth Program offers youth at risk training, supportive services, and financial incentives. You can get cash while improving your job skills! If you have questions, call us today at 303-636-1260 to find out more about the program.

Eligibility for WIA Youth:
16-21 years of age
Meet income guidelines
Meets one or more or the following categories:
*Basic skills deficient
*School Dropout
*Homeless, runaway or foster child
*Pregnant or parenting
*Offender, or is an individual who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program, or to secure and hold employment.

Services Offered:
*Supportive Services-Transportation
*Job referrals
*Work readiness development
*College/Training Funding Complete training we pay you $100
*GED preparation/GED Complete GED we pay you $100
*Counseling Services
*Follow up services
*Leadership
*Work experience

Documentation Needed:
(Legible copies are acceptable)
Social Security Card (must have copy or original of card)
Photo Identification (School ID’s are fine.)
Income Verification for the last six months.
Letter from state governed institution if youth is an offender or foster child who has been a ward of the state in the last 6 months.
Documented disability if applicable (Ex. IEP,SSI paperwork etc.)

Orientations:
Every Thursday 3pm-5pm. Please be prompt. 3:05 is late you will have to reschedule.
You are required to take a Basic Skills Test 1 hr.45min.
Every Tuesday in Littleton 3pm-5pm
