Arapahoe/Douglas Work! Youth in the Works! Program is offering youth the opportunity to attend 5 series of workshops that will focus on Job Readiness Skills. For more information see the calendar and descriptions below.

Independent Living Series

Workshop Descriptions:
Workshop 1: How to Find a Job?
Getting Started/ Job Skills/ Job Search. Youth will become familiar with essential steps and paperwork necessary in job searching. They will be taught to find the resources and information needed to identify their job readiness skills and how to job search effectively.

Workshop 2: Applications
Youth will be provided with the resources and information needed to effectively fill out an application

Workshop 3: Cover Letters/ Resumes
Youth will complete a well designed cover letter and resume which reflects the participant’s education, experience and skills.

Workshop 4: Interviewing
Youth will learn the skills needed to ace the interview!

Workshop 5: How to Attend a Job Fair and Dressing for Success?
Youth will discuss the proper attire for a job interview and the importance of dressing for success.
