Employers
Youth in the Works! partners with local employers in a wide variety of industries with a shared goal of preparing young people to be successful future employees. We start by supporting youth, ages 16 – 21, with work readiness skills, resume assistance, interview preparation and career counseling. Then we look to local employers to give them the real-world perspective, training and relevant skills they need to become a productive and passionate employee.

Be a Guest Speaker or Workshop Presenter
Youth in the Works is also always seeking adult volunteers to present to youth about their career, as well as teach workshops on valuable job search or work-readiness skills.
Participate in Hiring Events
If you plan to hire youth for summer or year-round jobs, please consider hosting a private hiring event at the workforce center to recruit for those openings, or join any of the multi-employer hiring events that we have planned throughout the year.

Youth in the Works! is supported by an active Youth Council whose mission is to enhance, through leadership and strategic alliance, employment opportunities and services to youth within our community.
