Where Should I Start?
Did you know that on average there are six applicants for every one job opening? You may ask why this is important. In order to compete against other job applicants, you need to have a strong résumé, good interviewing skills and a solid understanding of what employers are looking for in a candidate.

Visit Our Youth Resource Center
The Youth Resource Center is a resource room customized to meet the needs of youth job-seekers. The drop-in center features computers with internet access, fax and copy machines, courtesy phones, reference materials and access to youth-friendly job postings and hiring events. Our on-site youth workforce specialists can also offer résumé assistance, interview coaching, and help direct you to a workshop or program that meets your needs.
The Youth Resource Center also offers individually scheduled one-on-one meetings with a Youth Workforce Specialist. These meetings are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm by appointment only. These meetings are meant to aid youth customers with any job-related assistance that they may need, such as help with job searching, skill development, resume writing, and interview skills.

Grow Your Skills
If you’re looking to get some work or training experience under your belt, our programs can help. We can help connect you with a work experience opportunity in targeted industries or a job skills program to increase your chances of finding long-term work. These programs range from energy conservation to customer service. Some of these programs have eligibility requirements. Check out the WIOA Youth page for more information.
