Connecting Talent to Opportunity: Metro Area Career Fair Success
On September 16, 2025, as part of Workforce Development Month, workforce centers across the Metro area hosted a multi-county in-person career fair with four locations: Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, Adams County, Boulder/Broomfield, and Jefferson County.
At the Arapahoe/Douglas Works! location, there were 20 employers and over 150 job seekers that participated. Both employers and job seekers shared positive feedback about the event, with many new connections made and opportunities explored.
Career fairs like this showcase the strength of regional partnerships and the commitment to building thriving communities by connecting businesses with the talent they need.

Celebrating Success: Parents to Work (PTW) 2025 Accomplishment Ceremony
This year’s Parents to Work Accomplishment Ceremony was nothing short of inspiring, joyful, and memorable. The evening came alive with an introduction from Workforce Director and Division Manager, Sasha Easton, whose remarks highlighted the program’s purpose, impact, and unwavering dedication to participants.
Highlighting Workforce Services During Workforce Development Month
Governor Jared Polis officially proclaimed September as Workforce Development Month in Colorado. This month is a chance to recognize the people and programs building career pathways, connecting talent with opportunity and making Colorado the best place to work and live.
Arapahoe/Douglas Works! (A/D Works!) is a publicly funded workforce development organization serving Arapahoe and Douglas counties. Colorado Community Media conducted a Q&A with A/D Works! to promote its services during Workforce Development Month. With centers in Centennial, Littleton, Castle Rock, and three in Aurora, A/D Works! provides no-cost services to both job-seekers and businesses across the Denver metro area.
Services include:
- Job search resources and workshops
- One-on-one employment counseling
- Training assistance
- Business support to help maintain a skilled and competitive workforce
