2022 Virtual Series II: Mapping Supply Chains

Aug 17 10:00 AM - Aug 17 11:30 AM

2022 Virtual Series II: Mapping Supply Chains

Strategies, Tools, and Resources for Building a More Resilient Ecosystem

Thanks to disruptions and shortages, the term supply chain has become an everyday topic of conversation. But what exactly is the supply chain? How do you define it, conceptualize it, respond to it, and what resources are available to assist you in the process?

In this virtual session, experts from NIST-MEP, Manufacturer’s Edge, and Sustainment will discuss trends and best practices from across the country as companies strive to strengthen their supply chains by adopting strategies like reshoring and clustering as well as technological solutions like mapping and matchmaking to help them meet customer demand, maintain production, and stay afloat.

The goal of this event is to arm economic development professionals with the background, context, data, and resources you can leverage in order to help attract, retain, and expand your manufacturing base.

SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS:

  • Moderator: Rob Newbold, Director of Client Services, Mfr Edge
  • Mark Schmit, Manager National Accounts at Manufacturing Extension Partnership
  • Nico Thomas, Performance Analyst at National Institute of Standards and Technology
  • Bret Boyd, Cofounder and CEO, Sustainment
  • Jennifer Hagan-Dier, Vice President and Chief Operation Officer, Manufacturer’s Edge
