CWDC to Host Webinar Series About Talent Finance Tools for Worker Training

Talent Finance is a set of financial tools that encourages equity in workforce development by making training and education for in-demand occupations more accessible to low-income Coloradans, contributing to the building of Colorado’s talent pipeline. Beginning September 1, join the CWDC for four one-hour virtual sessions as we learn from U.S. practitioners using talent finance tools to make workforce training more accessible to workers in a variety of industries. Coloradans interested in learning more about Talent Finance are welcome to join one or all of these sessions. Participants will include employers, educational and financial institutions, practitioners, philanthropy, and government.

  • September 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. – Introductions and logistics; the landscape of financial resources for workforce development; explanation of talent finance tools and their application to workforce development.
  • September 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. – Low-rate loans: the Vermont Nursing Apprenticeship Pipeline Pilot and the Colorado Workforce Pay-it-Forward Fund.
  • September 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. – Income Share Agreements: Colorado Mountain College. Outcomes-based contracts.
  • September 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. – Income Share Agreements: the San Diego Workforce Partnership. Tax-deferred funding for workforce development programs.
