May POWER HOUR with Maria R. Brady (Virtual)
This two part series will include discussion on CLEAR, the Clearinghouse for Labor Evaluation and Research, a clearinghouse of information dedicated to making research on labor topics more accessible, and the E2A or Evidence to Action initiative, which is all about translating research evidence into actionable insights.
Part 1 of the POWER HOUR will focus on CLEAR, the Clearinghouse for Labor Evaluation and Research, a not so well-known clearinghouse of information dedicated to making research on labor topics more accessible – to not just policymakers and researchers – but to practitioners and the public as well! We’ll demonstrate how to easily navigate the public site and dig-in to hot topics like Registered Apprenticeship!
Part 2 of the POWER HOUR will focus on the E2A or Evidence to Action initiative, which is all about translating research evidence into actionable insights (otherwise, why do it?) and developing E2A products such as evidence “cheat sheets” to help inform program design and delivery. We’ll take the opportunity to highlight the new E2A Toolkit, designed for multiple audiences including workforce development practitioners, who will find the tips on communicating (e.g., “writing for impact”) and presenting information (e.g., infographics) to be incredibly useful!
Join Maria R. Brady, Senior Research and Evaluation Analyst (Detail), US Department of Labor, Chief Evaluation Office as she provides details and answers questions on these two resources available to workforce professionals!
