Webinar: Women in Construction

Mar 21 11:30 AM - Mar 21 01:00 PM

This event is hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor.

The importance of addressing inequality, creating pathways for women in construction, and building a supportive construction workforce to allow women to lead successful careers cannot be understated. The Federal Highway Administration and the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau address these issues daily while building the Nation’s workforce.

This webinar will introduce you to the FHWA Every Day Counts-6 Strategic Workforce Development team to learn about their active work in developing new resources and innovative strategies to identify, train, place, and retain women in the construction workforce.

The DOL Women’s Bureau will also discuss their programs and the ways they champion policies and standards that safeguard the interests of all working women. Both federal agencies advocate for women interested in entering and building a career in the construction trades and champion equality and economic security for women and their families.

You will also hear from partner organizations, including the Vermont Agency of Transportation, Vermont Works for Women, and Chicago Women in Trades!

There is limited space, so register now to stay up to date on speakers and webinar updates! Register via Zoom at https://usdot.zoomgov.com/meeting/register/vJIscO6grzkpGo8NxKfXoMthH61NYCiUwW8.
