EMSI Career Coach
EMSI Career Coach is a tool designed to help you find a new job quickly, or help you decide whether you should explore different careers that require a similar skill set. After entering some basic information about your employment preferences, you'll be presented with up-to-date career information which will help guide you in your job search efforts.

Overview
Step 1: Name and/or ID. We ask for your name (and optional ID) so we can distinguish your searches and reports from other people's, which allows your career center to keep some basic statistics about how this tool is being used. In the end, this helps them better serve customers like you. We don't use it for any other purpose.
Step 2: Previous occupation. We'll ask for your most recent occupation (job title), or the occupation that you have the most experience in. Since the fastest way back to work is to look for this same type of job, we'll give you information about the future outlook and any advertised listings for it. We'll also use the knowledge and skills associated with this occupation to give you information about other occupations that are similar.
Step 3: Commute distance. The information we show you throughout this process is limited to this distance from your current ZIP code.
Step 4: Wage level. When we search for other occupations with knowledge and skills similar to your previous one, we'll only show results that have an average wage at or above this level.
Step 5: Results. We'll show you information about your current occupation, as well as any similar ones we found.
Optional: Saving a report. You can save and print a formatted report to take with you. It summarizes all the information in the Results section.
