The federally funded Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program helps workers who have lost their jobs due to foreign trade and provides them with resources to help them obtain the skills they need to advance their career goals. By providing support in training, job search, relocation assistance, and income support, the program helps countless people every year find rewarding work.
Training Assistance
Made possible through financial assistance, we can help further your education through classroom instruction, on-the-job training, apprenticeship programs and more.
Case Management Services
We can help you advance your career goals through skills assessments, career counseling, resume-writing assistance, and individual employment plans.
Trade Readjustment Allowance (TRA)
Provides income support as weekly payments to eligible workers who are enrolled in full time training courses and have exhausted their unemployment insurance benefits.
Job Search and Relocation Assistance
Reimbursement for costs of seeking employment outside of the workers commuting area. Reimbursement for relocation costs for employment outside of the workers commuting area.
Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance (RTAA)
Helps workers aged 50 and older who have found jobs in which they make less than their previous job by providing a wage supplement for up to two years.
Health Coverage Tax Credit
This is a tax credit for eligible TAA recipients. It pays 72.5% of qualifying health insurance premiums for the worker and their family. The tax credit expires on December 31, 2021.
