The mission of Arapahoe/Douglas Works! is to strategically invest in Human Capital, which contributes to regional economic vitality. Arapahoe/Douglas Works! and the workforce development system stand alongside K-12, vocational and two-year colleges, four-year and graduate universities, as well as apprenticeship programs, business and industry, all of which exist for the purpose of contributing economically to the region, state and nation.

Job Seeker Services

Arapahoe/Douglas Works! provides a variety of no-cost employment assistance services customized to meet your individual needs. Register for free with the workforce center on Connecting Colorado to access our tiered self-service or staff-assisted options:

  • Self-Service Options:
    Standard services for a self-directed job search, including tools and job seeker workshops, are available in our Resource Centers. Resource Center amenities include computers with internet access, fax and copy machines, courtesy phones, reference materials, job postings and notice of hiring events.
  • Staff-Assisted Options:
    Enhanced services supported by our staff are available to help you identify your strengths and grow your job-search skills, including career and employment guidance, career and personality assessments and certifications and job readiness workshops.   • Program Services:
    Intensive job search support or training opportunities may be available through a variety of programs. Visit our Programs section to learn more.

Business Development Services

Arapahoe/Douglas Works! provides a wide variety of no cost services to help employers meet their recruitment goals and ensure a qualified workforce. Our Business Development Representatives are experienced in listening to employers’ needs and providing solutions to save your organization time, money and valuable resources.

  • Talent Pipeline:
    Assistance with writing effective job descriptions, posting positions on Connecting Colorado, support with customized hiring events, accessing screened candidates, using assessments to find the right candidate and use of our technology/facilities for your employment needs.
  • Planning & Strategic Development:
    We can provide you information on labor laws, Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), federal bonding and other cost-savings opportunities. Access to up to date labor market information including competitive wage analysis, talent supply and demand reports and commuting patterns, etc.
  • Save Money, We Pay the Wages:
    We can help you find paid interns to address your staffing needs at no cost to you. Participate in a work based learning program that can reimburse up to 100% of a candidates wages. Develop apprenticeships to create a new generation of workers.
