Maximizing Area Talent for Competitive Hires (M.A.T.C.H.)

Invest in human capital and contribute to regional economic vitality. Developing and practicing essential workplace skills increases workplace productivity, increases employee retention, reduces employee turnover, and increases workplace communication and problem solving. We do this with the M.A.T.C.H. program, a Work-Based Learning program that reimburses businesses up to 100% of wages associated with the extraordinary cost of training. Through this program, businesses can save money and recruitment time, as we send you our pre-screened candidates that are suitable and interested in your available positions. Contact a Business Development Representative to access our pool of eligible candidates.

Work Experience

The Work Experience Program is an internship that helps participants become experienced and employable. In this program, we pay 100% of the cost of the candidate’s wages, including worker’s compensation. As a Host Business, you will play a key role in helping participants learn to be good employees. Through hands-on training experiences, this will help recruits transition into a career with positive work ethics and skills.

On-the-Job (OJT) Training

On-the-Job Training (OJT) is a program that reimburses businesses up to 100% of an employee’s wages associated with the extraordinary cost of training new, less experienced hires. Through this innovative program, M.A.T.C.H. offers businesses cost-effective training and hiring solutions.

Registered Apprenticeships

Apprenticeship is a tailored talent pipeline solution to address employer needs for a changing economy. Apprentices are employees and they may start at a lower wage. By the end of the apprenticeship, they have increased their skills and their experience and will have earned a wage increase. A Registered Apprenticeship is 100% customizable to your business needs. You, as the business, determine the curriculum that is provided and you hire the individuals who will earn as they learn.

In Colorado, career seekers of all backgrounds can take advantage of on-the-job training, wage progression, and industry-driven career pathways thanks to the innovative collaboration between the workforce and education systems. Arapahoe/Douglas Works!,(A/D Works!), one of the state’s 52 Workforce Centers, is serving as Colorado’s Apprenticeship Hub. A/D Works! is supporting industry through Apprenticeships to address the skills gap, while providing equitable access to quality jobs for individuals who have historically been excluded from high-wage careers. Employers who host apprenticeship programs benefit from reduced turnover and company risk, lower recruitment costs, and improved employee loyalty. Businesses don’t have to start from scratch because A/D Works! creates custom programs to meet unique business needs and goals. Business owners and employers should contact A/D Works! to learn about how an apprenticeship program can help you attract new talent, save time and money.
