Businesses and Registered Apprenticeship Sponsors

The Colorado Apprenticeship Hub works in tandem with the Apprenticeship Colorado at the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment to expand and support registered apprenticeship programs within the state. The Hub provides apprenticeship related services at no cost to employers and job-seekers. By working with the Colorado Apprenticeship Hub, businesses/sponsors can:

  • Learn more about the requirements and components of registered apprenticeships and the registration process
  • Ask questions about registered apprenticeship while receiving guidance based on the unique needs and goals of
    your business
  • Get help in determining if the registered apprenticeship model is a good fit
  • Gain post-registration support from your local workforce center including assistance with the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of apprentices as well as other workforce services
  • Get access to streamlined workforce center support for programs that span across multiple regions
Workforce Partnerships

The Colorado Apprenticeship Hub works with regional workforce centers and Apprenticeship Colorado to support registered apprenticeship programs and apprentices across the state. Your delegated Consultant is available to:

  • Work collaboratively with Business Services staff during initial employer meetings to determine if the apprenticeship model is a good fit as well as provide training to Business Services staff on this process
  • Submit Qualified Referrals to Apprenticeship Colorado, that will help your region meet IDEA grant goals
  • Foster efforts to diversify the industries that offer apprenticeships within your region while aligning with industry demand
  • Facilitate apprenticeship related trainings that are customized to your needs and individual teams
  • Create tools and resources to help in career exploration and improve professional development
  • Serve as a sounding board for specific apprenticeship initiatives, such as high-quality pre-apprenticeships and youth registered apprenticeship
  • Assist with the strengthening of sustainable internal infrastructure to support future registered apprenticeships and apprentices
  • Connect newly registered apprenticeship programs to your workforce center for customized support
  • Align services for registered apprenticeship programs that span across multiple regions
  • Help streamline apprentices access to IDEA grant Apprentice Scholarships while cultivating strategies for co-enrollment
  • Encourage and support employer-driven efforts to increase the diversity of apprentices
