Celebrating Value and Talent: Supporting Inclusive Employment This NDEAM

October 1, 2025

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), celebrating the contributions of workers with disabilities and promoting inclusive workplaces. Colorado is proud to support Coloradans with disabilities through programs and initiatives that open doors and break down barriers.

At Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, the Disability Program Navigator (DPN) helps job seekers with disabilities access Workforce Center programs, connect with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), and find resources to succeed.

The DPN can support with:

  • Job search, resumes, applications and interviews
  • Apprenticeships & work-based learning
  • Workplace accommodations & job coaching
  • Understanding benefits and employment impact

Call 303.636.1160 or complete the request form to connect.

Recently, A/D Works! participated in the College, Careers, and New Directions event at the Colorado Center for the Blind. The event featured keynote speakers (State Senator Jessie Danielson and Jessica Beecham, President of the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado), career panels, employer networking, and breakout sessions on navigating SSI/SSDI, DVR, and college/career pathways.
