Job Seekers

TANF - Colorado Works

Arapahoe/Douglas Works! offers employment training and supportive services (such as child care, transportation costs, ancillary expenses and personal counseling) for people who are receiving TANF cash assistance benefits through the Arapahoe County and Douglas County Colorado Works programs in an effort to help them become a self-supporting household. In this effort, Arapahoe/Douglas Works! provides focused job search support, approved training resources and assistance, and on-the-job work experiences (including subsidized training opportunities within targeted industries). TANF recipients in the Colorado Works program are required to participate in designated program activities a minimum number of hours per week in order to continue to be eligible to receive monthly income support payment and supportive services.

Orientation - Please note that some of the Arapahoe County Facilities are open by appointment only.

A Colorado Works Workforce Specialist (WFS) will call new customers between 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on their scheduled orientation day.  This date is listed on the paperwork or email correspondence the customer has received from Arapahoe County Department of Human Services (ACDHS).  If the customer does not answer on the 1st attempted call, the WFS will leave a message and try again in 10 minutes.  After the 2nd missed call the case may be subject to non-compliance for not attending their scheduled orientation.

Customers - Please make sure to not have any call restrictions on your phones
