Technology with Purpose: Building What Comes Next
We’re proud to share that the Tech Talent Denver Leadership Team, including our very own Ruth McCormick, won the Advocate of the Year Award at the 2026 Colorado Technology Association Tech Summit + APEX Awards on February 18th.
The Tech Talent Denver Sector Partnership focuses on closing skill gaps in the metro tech industry by promoting skills-based hiring, training, apprenticeships, and work-based learning. The group is actively working to address the disconnect between IT graduates and entry-level jobs, particularly the challenge of employers requiring experience for entry-level roles.
Ruth McCormick, A/D Works!’ Business Services Representative and Co-convenor of the Partnership, contributed workforce insight through the Resource Hub Task Force, which developed a centralized, interactive Resource Hub website. The platform connects Denver tech companies with talent and workforce development resources. The first version was shared with businesses in November, followed by feedback collection to strengthen the tool. The Resource Hub is expected to launch in Summer 2026.
The CTA Tech Summit + APEX Awards celebrated innovation, accessibility, safety, and leadership across Colorado’s tech ecosystem, highlighting collaboration and forward-thinking solutions in the industry. It was an inspiring day filled with big ideas, bold leadership, and well-deserved recognition.
